Word Explorers
Word explorers is open to all 4-6 year olds who are able to converse happily in English and have a basic grasp of the phonic sounds.

This course takes a fresh approach to teaching children the trickier rules of reading, writing and spelling the English language. Our gifted and funny teachers break down the concepts into bite-sized pieces and take children on a journey that they will never forget, through the ‘reading jungle’! Our little adventurers grab their explorer hats, pick up their binoculars and go in search of ever-elusive sounds and syllables. Once they find them they proudly put them in their Explorer’s Note-Pad, where they practice their handwriting, and collect words that contain the new sounds.

Content
The sounds that we cover in this course are vital when learning the basis of the English language. Although children studying at International school (or English in school) cover a foundation syllabus well, it is almost impossible to dedicate enough time to tutoring the very tricky parts of the language. This course is a great help! It focuses on two-letter sounds (digraphs), and reinforces well through games, craft activities and stories.

We also assist with pronunciation, natural and accurate use of words and phrases, and an expanded vocabulary for this age group.
